Dr. Won studied Electronics Engineering at Seoul National University, where he was awarded his diploma in 1981. He has got a doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA, in 1989. He was an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Won is an author and coauthor of more than 150 international journal papers and an author of a textbook “Modeling and Simulation of Semiconductor Devices,” as well as numerous articles related patent law before both national and international organizations. Dr. Won was admitted as a Korean Patent Attorney after passing the qualifying examination in 1995. He now has 10 years experience in the IP practice in Korea and Asian world and specializes in electrical engineering, information technology, semiconductor electronics, nanotechnology, and communication technology. Dr. Won is a senior member of Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (KEE), member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), member of International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), and member of Asian Patent Attorney Association (APAA).
